IMDB rating: 6.20 Plot: It is a normal day for everyone, until the President of the United States (Nicholson). They are able to get in contact with the Martians, and arrange for a meeting behind them and us humans. But not everything goes to plan, and the Martians have other plans for Earth. The perfect remake of the 1968 version of the Planet of the apes?
Give me your ideas of how the perfect remake would be, how apes would act, dress, treat humans, humans talk
My personal idea was that their was a space ship of likeness to the 2001 version without the monkeys. They land on mars. Dust storm they have to take off or suffer being buried. On their way to orbit the storm knocks them off orbit to earth and instead to a wormhole that opens up. The captain thinking nothing different of it (because nothing changed except for a flash of light) recorrects course and heads home. Upon arrival they cant tell the difference same basic world. But as they land the intercom is of an ape ordering them to stand down. The ape army as high tech as the U.S. army rolls in and takes them to their base. They question them and such. The humans are used in scientific experiments such that we cant imagine. The humans native to the planet are treated as humans treated african slaves, they are all around. They are dispersed to civilian apes and thats when the main characters show how the world is and they try to escape but cant. Later they successfully escape to remote regions. There they dwell where apes used to and then apes attack and put them in cages.
The way it went is from the wormhole they went forward in time. The mars winds brought chemicals from the planet to earth the apes react to the chemicals by getting more human like (Smarter, taller) and take over the world. Thousands of years later the austronauts come out of the wormhole to the ape civilization.
Any questions or tips to make my storyline better would help to
thats probably one of the ideas the guys who wrote the really crappy remake wrote. Keep it simple, same script, same characters, only the special effects and make up be waaaaaaay cooler.
